Our Midwest division (S.J. Louis Construction) specializes in underground utility services (sewer and water), deep, open-cut pipeline installation for both large (up to 144") and small diameter pipe. Our tunneling services include tunneling, boring, hand mining and bore pits. S.J. Louis can tunnel diameters to more than 144". With experience under railways and roadways, not only can S.J. Louis tunnel anywhere your project is, but we are also able to tunnel through solid rock, dirt or under water. Our earthwork services include site clearing and grubbing, street preparation (grading and paving), placement of imported fill, building pad construction, and general excavation. Our specialized rock-trenching service allows us the ability to create up to 36" wide in a single cut, going 16ft into rock -- eliminating the need for drilling and blasting. Louis Construction of Texas, LTD.) specializes in large diameter, underground pipe installation using ductile iron, steel, reinforced concrete cylinder pipe, PVC and FRP pipes. S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, LTD. also has the ability to self perform tunneling operations. Our past projects have gone beneath roads, rivers and railroads. Our Southwest division (SJL Construction of Arizona) specializes in underground utilities, large, mass grading and paving projects, heavy highway and large commercial jobs. It is not uncommon for SJL Construction of Arizona to move 1 to 2 million yards of common excavation on a single project. SJL Construction of Arizona has the capability to keep all of their paving jobs in-house. Additionally, they offer rental-paving and will pave for other contractors using their own crews.
